HOLIDAYS UNCORKED

HOLIDAYS UNCORKED
An Evening of Original (and Twisted) Holiday Stories
Directed by Jordana Kritzer and Emily Madison

On December 13th, 2008, five writers from Chicago’s 2nd Story joined five of New York’s most promising actors for a one-time-only Holiday storytelling event.

Themes from a few of the true stories that comprise “HOLIDAYS UNCORKED:” A young Jew faces the ultimate challenge of his elementary school life: will he choose to be in the Christmas Spectacular or the Hanukkah Festival?; in the middle of the season of giving, a woman confronts the thief who stole her car; a young woman is horrified to receive a surprise Christmas singing telegram from a pink gorilla at her office.  These real-life experiences were accompanied by live music as well as a special tasting of five wines–one for each story.  Audience members were treated to the rare experience of an evening inside the new state-of-the-art, City Winery.

Featuring: Mariko Barajas, Megan Hill, Nathan Kaufman, Nathan Keepers, and Jordana Kritzer.
